I was fairly into Photography in High School and took a class but didn't do much after that.
After being in the Dental field for 7 years I started playing a little bit with my old beat up point and shoot. I got so into it that I bought a Nikon L110 (also a point and shoot) and played a little more seriously. I decided I liked it so much that I'd start saving for a DSLR.
The place I usually went to have my children's pictures done closed down so I started doing their pictures myself. My family would talk me up and ask me to do their pictures so I mentioned to extended family and some friends that I wanted to start a portfolio and asked for help.
I did some engagements for a cousin and was a little timid (In fact, I went home that night wondering why I was doing this) but the next day I did family pictures for someone I hadn't seen in YEARS and it was a new me! I absolutely had a blast!
I posted a little 'preview' on facebook that night and told the old friend. She showed her Mom, people at her church and posted her pictures on her facebook account and I had a lot of people interested from then on.
I ran into a great deal on my DSLR camera within a week after and decided to start this photography blog to advertise a little. I've decide to further my photography knowledge and take classes while adding to my portfolio.
{A little more personal things about me}
My Husband and I married May 14, 2005. We had a beautiful baby girl August 11, 2006 and was blessed with a stud-muffin boy July 18, 2009. My parents are always there for me and my In-Laws are more than I ever expected. My family is so helpful and understanding of this new passion of mine. I'm so excited to have these amazing people in my life!!!Thank You all!!!!
